Part VI: Blue Sky, Pumpkin Pie (Pumpkin Pumpkin Pumpkin)

 Bonjour!

It's the first day of fall! (*Cue thousands of people standing up and cheering*) I even made a poem for you to commemorate this exciting event of the year.

Blue skies, pumpkin pies. Pumpkin Pumpkin Pumpkin.
Leaves changing, leaves dangling. Reds and orange and yellows.
Country arbor, pedal harder. Nature's beauty opens.
Days bold, nights cold. Sweaters, plaid and wool.
Campfire, flying higher. Halloween is near.
Happy dance, thankfulness. Autumn time is here.

These pictures were taken back in the summertime (already that seems like a year ago) on my last day in Florida. I don't actually know if Florida has a Fall or if it is one of those seasons like winter where we are all buried under 7 feet of snow and the people in Florida are out building sandcastles down at the beach. I'm at least 85% certain that palm trees don't change colors or drop their fronds, anyway (I live in Illinois, for pumpkin's sake!).

Anyway... I just want to wish you all a happy Fall because I know we all HATE this time of year and really can't wait for the onset of winter when we can eat fabulous foods and play in the snow and have a grand old time. So happy Fall. :)

Part V: Sundown at Banana Ranch

 Bonjour!

Ever get that feeling where you capture something in a picture and it seems different than the way you experienced it? Sometimes I think I may forget how wonderfully dreamy a place is if I don't take a picture of it, like it may float away if I don't catch it in the moment. The image may reflect something exactly the way I remember it, or it may not reflect it well at all, or it might become some magical place that looks even better than reality. It's ethereal. Maybe that is why I love photography- it lets me capture dreams when I'm awake.

Part IV: Prints and Palm Trees

Bonjour!

First time at a man-made beach, but it was my second favorite one that I've visited. Of course, there wasn't much to beachcomb (as in nothing), but the swimming was good.

I was so excited to get this swimsuit from Romwe! The stripes and the anchor was an attention-catcher for sure, but when it came in the mail I realized that it was a large! It hung off of me like an oversized shirt. :(
Fortunately, a little taking-in at the crotch enabled me to wear it to the beach (though I wish the anchor would have shown more).

I have to say though, that is one of the only times I've had an issue with online shopping where the clothes didn't fit quite properly. And this one was my fault because I didn't pay closer attention to the measurements. :)
